Coaching is what I do, at work and in my spare time. I have been helping families and businesses plan for the future since I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2000 and have coached youth sports since 2014 when my daughter was 4. I find both to be rewarding, seeing clients and kids achieve their goals and dreams and knowing I played a small part. As a financial security advisor, I see clients challenged by complexity as they struggle to develop a financial security plan for themselves and their families. My contribution to their challenge is the union of my experience in commerce with a deep interest in coaching my clients through the financial highs and lows, so they can enjoy their family and life today.
Who is Nolan Lamb?
I grew up in Red Deer, Alberta and moved to Calgary to obtain my Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary. While in school, I work 2 ½ years at Royal Bank, in various roles, including Student Banking Representative at UofC. Once I finished my degree, I knew I wanted to grow my own business and started at London Life and Freedom 55 Financial.
Soon into my career, I joined with a senior advisor and together we grew our business into one of the top London Life / Freedom 55 Financial firms in Canada. He is now planning to retire so I started Coaching Financial as it better represents who I am.
What does Nolan coach for youth sports?
I started coaching hockey in college and obtained my Level 2 National Coaching Certificate from Red Deer College. Later, even though I had never played, I started coaching my kid’s soccer teams (kind of like Ted Lasso). Later my son got into baseball and hockey, and I have been coaching both for several years and grown my coaching knowledge with several other accreditations.
